What’s really impressive is that tone. It’s amazing how big that got that sound on those chords.

Double mic'd on each double tracked guitar. Third guitar punched in at 2:20. Solo punched at 2:48. Ozzy sucked. Still does. Daisley and Rhoads put Ozzy on the map as a solo artist.

Randy became my favorite guitarist the very first time i heard the new Blizzard of Ozz album back in '81. His imagination was awesome and he had the skills to bring them to life on the guitar. Never heard anyone get close to him since... R.I.P

To me personally, its, in a way, haunting to listen to because he was killed not very long after recording Crazy Train, thats according to Ozzy. Understandably, Ozzy was seriously crushed by Randy's death and, in a way, still never fully got over his death. He really loved Randy to pieces. Such great friends they were 😢😢

Never forget the day Randy demo'd a cab for a friend of his that was selling it to me. I sat alone in a Hollywood apartment while he shredded away on his white LP! He handed me the guitar to try but by then I was weak in the knees...I barely mumbled "I'll take it" and handed him the cash. I've been around and can play a bit...lol...never saw anything like that before, back then! I'll have that "Flyer" stenciled Ampeg Cab forever. I had no idea 'who' he was at the time, just an amazingly cool dude that played like he was not from this planet...'77? He was just getting going in QR, I think.

Saw them at the end of February in Boutwell Auditorium in Birmingham, Ala., 1982. I've seen Eddie 4 times during the Roth Years, but this Concert, other than Ozzy being coked up out of his mind, was probably the best instrumentally I've seen. And that's out of about 200 Concerts. Tommy Aldridge was unbelievable as well, but RR..just blew me away..
